Before you email
A quick checklist that solves most issues:
- Make sure iPadOS is up to date (Settings → General → Software Update).
- Check that camera access is allowed (Settings → CapturePage → Camera).
- Restart the app: swipe up from the bottom to close it, then reopen.
- Restart the iPad if the camera preview is blank or frozen.
Common questions
- How do I export a scan?
- Open the session, tap Export, then choose PDF (searchable) or plain text. Use the iOS share sheet to send to Files, Mail, or another app.
- Why isn't auto-capture firing?
- The app waits for the book to be steady for about two seconds before capturing. Bright, even light helps. Avoid shadows from your hands, and try not to drift while holding the book.
- What languages does OCR support?
- English in the current release. More languages may come in a future version.
- Does CapturePage work on iPhone?
- Not yet. iPad only for now. iPhone support is being considered for a later release.
- Where are my scans stored?
- On your iPad, inside the app's sandbox. CapturePage does not upload anything to the cloud and does not sync between devices. See the privacy policy for details.
- I deleted the app. Can I recover my scans?
- No. Deleting the app removes its sandbox and everything in it. Export anything you want to keep first.

- iPadOS version.
- CapturePage version (shown in the app's About screen).
- What you were trying to do and what happened instead.
